石油股大好？但是…再好也彌補不到我車子的燃料費啊！

$4.175 時買入了一手中國海洋石油～然後傳出公司收購美國油公司業務的消息，股價稍微下滑；

昨日，期油升至 USD 61 一桶，石油股做好，中海油升至 $4.600～

但是～那一點點斬獲～根本彌補不到我開的車子啊！

日前去天水圍－這個香港西伯利亞走一趟，便用了剛入的200 蚊油的一半～

[三分評論] 身份

時常聽見有人說：（曾蔭權）身為天主教徒, 十誡第一誡就是不可有別的神, 曾XX 佛誕日為了佛教的幾票, 居然做出浴佛行為, 陳主教應趕他出教⋯⋯⋯⋯

當網上論壇“音公館”還是人山人海的時候，那裡的壇主，也是我的老師－林子揚對我說：在網上論壇裡面有人發錶一些對基督教不利的言論，有人認為我作為一個 基督徒應該把那些留言刪除。但是我覺得如果是這樣的話，便會與論壇的宗旨－“高度自由” 相違背，在遇到那個問題的時候，我作為壇主的身份便會蓋過基督徒的身份，所以我絕對容許那些留言的出現。（意思是這樣啦～）

網上論壇也好，香港也好，作為一個領導都是一樣。作為領導的身份跟作為基督徒（或者是天主教徒）有時候要作出選擇，權衡事情對社會，對人民的影響。

香港是一個擁有宗教自由的社會，根據美國中央情報局的 World Fact Book，最新在今年的六月十四號的更新，香港的基督徒人口只有 10%，信奉地方宗教折衷混合物有90%。所以作為一個領導人，一個「政治家」更加要權衡輕重，作出取捨。

如果只顧著基督徒的身份，盲目執行並霸道的推廣基督教，會是怎樣的世界？想一想，明天凌辰立刻去除偶像，然後用炸彈把尖沙嘴的回教寺、灣仔的鍚克教、大嶼 山的寶蓮寺等通通炸掉，然後甚麼佛教XXX 、道教OOO 中學立刻停辦，一些香港本土的文化活動從此收工，甚麼搶包山，飄色巡游、舞龍舞獅統統丟掉⋯⋯⋯⋯如果真的是這樣，保證天光的時候有暴動，然後把那個領導 人從被窩中拖出來，人人把他當成是“袁崇煥第二”。

所以我認為在處世時，人應該要能屈能伸，靈活變通，便宜行事。世界上沒有萬能的書，所有的書都只是一個方曏，一個指引。

Gaim 是開放源碼的軟件，又是免費的軟件，真的不錯 ! 更支援中文輸入 ! 讚 !

1. 騎呢場刊：請遵照工作人員指示，我們需於三時四十五分交場

咁大個仔去過約十次婚禮，第一次見人在場刊上面趕客～（好彩，得好少人到，三點二個婚禮結束，三點半唔夠已經影晒相）

新人租用香港中Ｘ大學的禮拜堂；禮堂，的確很大，但是，出席的人卻只有不夠５０人（扣除因工作關係已出席的人，即是攝影，詩班等等；雖然上面的場刊寫著出席的隊伍，但是竟有些隊伍是一個人都沒有來的！擺個咁既婚禮，除左顯示出一對新人的人緣欠佳外我諗顯示唔到Ｄ乜～

14 30 準時開始，15 10 已經完成；但主禮牧師已經努力把婚禮拖長；例如把一首短短的歌多唱三遍 =_= 婚禮後的拍照，竟然在毫無混亂的情況下在 15 30 完成！快啊！

屈指一算，香港回歸也快八年了，從英國政府推出 BN(O) 至今也差不多有十年了。當年領取的 BN(O) 護照也差不多到期了。可能怕市民跑去換特區護照吧，BN(O) 都在太子地鐵站賣廣告！

但是，我覺得BN(O) 也不是太好用。始終也不能跟 British Citizen 那本相題並論。

還是從 "交通銀行網上認購" 一事說起………要是沒有看過請到那裡看一看……

我們時間的書寫方法基本上有三種表達方法：

1. 指針時鐘式　
2. 數字形式 並加上 A.M. P.M.
3. 數字形式 （由　００００　到　２３５９）

要是要明確的分出上午和下午，不少人當然會選擇　２　吧！

但是十二時的劃分的確有點尷尬……………

究竟下午十二時指的是下午十一時五十九分五十九秒加一秒………

還是上午十一時五十九分五十九秒加一秒？

兩者的差別可有十二小時（足夠由香港直飛倫敦了！）

不同的理解也會帶給人不便…………

要是我說的下午十二時是 0000 而不是 1200………

便會把人弄糊塗了……………

所以我書寫時還是愛用 ３……………

這個較少讓人產生誤會………因為數字沒有重複…………

但是自己還是愛用表達方式　１　的手錶……………

因為雖然都是大量在工廠製造………

但是看著時分秒針的跳動………

好像能感受到手錶的靈魂…………

[生活觀察] REINSTALL: WINDOWS VS MAC

Microsoft Windows 篇


因為自己的操作錯誤，我入不了 WINDOWS……
只好重裝，還是裝在原來的硬盤吧！
折騰了接近一小時…（從用 CD Boot 機至進入Windows 主畫面計算）………
竟發現防毒軟件用不了，是那個諾ｘ，還是正版的啊！
好像是和那些在 \Program Files\Common Files　內的檔案有關……刪了也不行……
用 Regedit　把系統內有關諾頓的東西都刪了……竟又弄得視窗系統癱瘓………
又要重裝………今次是另一個硬盤（避過了 Common Files 的麻煩）………
又過了一小時……總算把東西裝好了………
還要更新 SP2 ，幸好自己從微軟那邊定購了一隻免費更新光碟，才不用下載（省了下載時間～）
都弄好了後，便是 Display 和 Sound Card 的 Driver～
要弄這個又要一小時（有不少選項啊！）
重新啟動………
到軟件了～
MSN Messenger, Photoshop, Nero Burning Rom, Alcohol 120%, AnyDVD, Clone DVD, Quick Time, Real Player 等等，有些要從網絡下載，有些要找出光盤～又弄了三小時～
從電腦掛了到從新使用，我用了接近半天！救命～

Apple Computer Mac 篇


還是談談我從 Panther 升級至 Tiger 的紀錄吧！（我的蘋果是 Power Book G4 Aluminium）
我是用 Erase and Install 的～
連同這個步驟，我只需 25 分鐘便已經可以把接近 3 GB 的東西安裝妥當～
然後經過簡單的設定，便可以上網了～
下載更新，只要簡單的點擊 Finder > Software Update……
再來便是安裝應用軟件～
還是上面那些吧～除了 Quick Time 是內置的，Photoshop, iWork, iLife 05, Dreamweaver 等都要裝………都很快～兩小時不夠便已經裝妥了～可能是 Apple Computer 都把所有應用軟件的連結放在一起吧，我完全不用費時間去 Google 找……
三小時便完成了！剩下的時間便用來玩 Automator 又或是找些有趣的 Widget 來玩～

蘋果萬歲！

後記：
如果我那裝了 Windows 的電腦硬體壞掉了，我不會再選擇買 Windows……（永別啦，標基！）
極大可能會買新的 Intel Mac 吧！

好像今天是六月十四日，當我登入電郵便看到一個醒目的標題：

再查查香港的報紙，今天都沒有這個消息～（當然電台已經廣播了這個新聞啦～）

另外，對於外國的新聞，香港報章也不會一概錄用，

即使刊登了，也可能會過了一兩天～

而且人家的頭條新聞也可能會成為縮在一角的國際消息～

還有，如果該網站支持 RSS SITE FEED，更可以不用去習慣操作界面，

通通用　RSS 瀏覽器便可以解決了！

用蘋果電腦的話還能把新聞化為　SCREEN SAVER！

[社會時事]今年7-1 不遊行

之前兩年的 7-1 遊行，我都有去。

但是今年的 7-1，我已經決定我不去了！

不去，並不代表我不支持香港實行雙普選，不支持民主等等，我同意那些都是人人應有的權利。

我不去也不等於自己支持 唐老曾 自動「當選」成為 香港特別行政區第二屆餘下任期特區行政長官，也不是認為六四中的學生死得好，死的妙～

不去，應該是自己覺得今年的主題跟自己的理念不同。

七．一遊行並不是年年如是的，並沒有一個傳統說人人都要參加，不參加便怎麼怎麼。它是一個自由的活動，同意的便參加，不同意，也沒關係。

遊行發起組織 － 民陣今年找來同志組織來帶頭，我覺得會喧賓奪主，遊行真正的主題會被他們爭取同性戀婚姻、公共房屋等議題蓋過了。而且自己雖然接受社會裡面有那樣的人，但 是並不代表自己能夠支持他們。我能夠尊重他們個人的選擇，但是前提是別干擾我的人生。我不能夠容忍他們在我的眼前作出我覺得受到侮辱的行為。

另外，弱勢社群是不是真的值得社會中人幫助，值得懷疑。究竟他們的訴求是甚麼，他們現在真正的生活是怎樣。這些都不是可以從在電視鏡頭出現哭訴的人可以看 見的。在傳媒面前，我們常常聽到一些動人的故事，一些令人感動的故事，但是從前線教育工作者口中聽到關於那些弱勢社群的事，又是另外一回事。我自己相信， 要瞭解真實，首先要拋開從傳媒人那裡聽來的一套。傳媒的作用，是作秀；總統候選人可以利用傳媒來爭取選票，在鏡頭面前，經過形象設計師的精心設計，他們可 以與現實判若兩人。他們可以作到，同樣所有人也可以。自己去瞭解，便可以更瞭解問題的核心，亂子的根源。瞭解這些，總比通過鏡頭濾鏡來看東西。

作為一個點對點 (Peer to Peer, P2P) 的傳送工具，BT 的確有點 OUT……………

當香港人心徨徨離開ＢＴ，自然會找到替代品……………

你有張良計，我有過牆梯～再者政府或業界用的都不是張良計……………

要說的話只可以說是"死橋"………

打算殺一警百……可以嗎？

如果真的要讓這種網絡共享活動有改變，我認為有下列方法：

１　電影方面：

香港的土炮電影工作者，真的，拜託你們製作一些更高質素的電影………

不要只把著眼點放再那些人肉花瓶那裡………

電影的橋段和劇情絕對比他們的外貌或南北半球更吸引………

把自己的失敗歸咎於新興的事物……很不智……

好電影不怕沒人看～爛電影連看也覺得浪費時間～（去做 Mc Job 做一個半小時都好！）

２　軟件方面：

絕對是貪小便宜者佔多數………

但是一套軟件需要二千至五千多塊…………

可怕啊！！

視窗系統：２２００　Adobe Photoshop 又２０００多

一個月打工賺來的微薄人工完全應付不來～

建議用電腦的人轉用蘋果電腦！

最先進的 OS X 10.4 TIGER，只要 HKD 1000！

軟件方面：iLife 和 iWork　total 不用　1000！

還有大量開放原碼的軟件！

雖然電腦售價不便宜（但估計在轉用 INTEL CPU 後情況會有所改善）

但是其他方面，包括時間和金錢～都能大幅節省！

３　漫畫：

建議推行試看制～

把一兩回放到網上去讓大家都能試看一下～

要是好看的話絕對會買來收藏的～

始終好漫畫要拿在手才有手感～

（爛的漫畫啊～印了出來都嫌浪費紙張～）

唉……………都怪自己讀中學時買得太多……………

封神演義－藤崎竜（23本，一手價約：644 港元）
通靈王－武井宏之（32本，一手價約：960 港元）
BLEACH 漂靈（17本，還在連載中：一手價約：510 港元）
Eyeshield 21 (13本，還在連載中：一手價約：390港元）……………

太多了，不慢慢數……………總而言之⋯⋯絕對是一個不少的數目………

保守估計約有5000-8000 港元……………

另外存放漫畫的地方也要很多，自己的床底、衣櫃，都已經放滿了，最新買的電車男都要放到書櫃……………

另外自己要用的地方也越來越多，根本沒有那麼多空間去放漫畫……………

所以在詢問朋友的意見後，決定從網上放出兩套漫畫。

由於自己知道如何“要錢不要貨”的把貨物賣出去，所以那個比較熱門的漫畫－封神演義放到 Yahoo 拍賣不夠一天邊賣出去了！（誰叫自己一口價才是其他人的底價……………）

但是－與其放在家中沒用，不如賣出去，拿回一點點錢……………

在那個時候，相機還是用膠卷的………現在過了超過十年，又怎麼呢？

當年，KODAK 說 1986 年有 130 億張照片拍了出來………

現在………

每人一部細小方便的數碼相機………所拍的照片一定更多………

Andy Rooney 又說，“在假期的時候，每個人的脖子前面都有一架”………

現在不用等待假期，每個人的腰間也可能有一台相機手電………

然後的都與1987 年一樣：

現在的相機也被描畫為“自動”，但是拍照仍然困難………

另外，都是一樣，有很多數字，功能，但是不少人都不知道那是甚麼………

攝影師仍然想成為”使用鏡頭的藝術家“……………

拍照，在大部分時間，已經不用單眼…因為有大屏幕預覽………

相機仍然有很多方法去拿…………Verticaly, Horizontally or whatever you like ……………

仍然有很多人會在重要時刻忘記開機……………

仍然有很多突發事件在按快門的一刻發生…………（譬如有人走過…………）

拍照時………一樣會多拍一張（尤其是團體照………）

回家以後，把照片傳送到電腦後便把它拋諸腦後……………

三年後再看，只知那時侯的穿著的服裝很怪，自己的樣子很怪…………

然後為自己年華老去一事感到傷心………

我們想通過拍照去把自己的生命保留下去，但是，同樣不會成功…………

十多年前的東西，只有一點點的東西因為科技進步而要修改，其他的都完全可以保留。

真不知道是他有眼光，還是科技進步的太慢了！

一年內已經去過兩個婚禮………兩個婚禮的“新人”雖然背景不同、學歷不同…………

但是他們的婚禮也象是一模一樣的……………

首先，都是在教堂行禮…………（啊～信仰是相同的！）

然後………都是吃中菜………

宴會間都是有結婚當天的活動的片段………

又有兩個人由細到大的照片（很無聊，一放便是15分鐘，我才不想理你們的童年照！媽啊！我肚子餓啊！）

As I said yesterday, China's article is unique. I talked about the sub-title yesterday as it is the part to attract people. So, what's today? Content...
Seems to me that there's a sample passage. In the first part of the passage, climate and location, then history and heritage, in the last part of the passage, the country's relationship with Japan.
So as a World Expo emphasizing Nature's Wisdom, most countries show people how much they did to the environment.
For example Bhutan, after introducing its climate, location etc, it mentioned that "Last december the government banned the sale of tobacco products and ordered shops, hotels, restaurant and bars selling tobacco to dispose of existing stocks ahead of the ban, becoming the first country in the world to impose such ban.
This introduction is very important, as Bhutan is leading the trend, banning tobacco in the country. This act is environmental friendly, as burning a cigarette will give out poisonous gas, etc. and it's damage one's health. When reading the introduction people know immediately how much effort does the Bhutan government do to make the environment better.

Let's look at another country, let's see how it introduce its relationship with Japan. The country I choose is Russia.
In Russia, there is now a boom in traditional Japanese culture, including kabuki, ikebana, and tea ceremoney, as well as the latest technologies from Japan. Recently, Haruki Murakami's novels have become best-sellers in Russia, and Japanese restaurants have popped up here and there.
In the economy, Russia is now the second largest crude oil producer in the world after Saudi Arabia, and the country has registered fast economic growth in recent years. In 2005, Japan and Russia mark the 150th anniversary of a bilateral commerce and friendship treaty, which led to te establishment of diplomatic ties between the two countries.
Japanese culture had successfully entered Russia, this showed that the people in Russia do not treat the Japanese things as monsters. When more people understand more about another culture, conflicts can be reduced. That's a good way to prevent war.

There is a country which is an exceptional, again, China.

In 2004, China chalked up $1154.7billion in imports and exports, and increase of 35.7% from the previous year, and rose past Japan as the third largest trading nation in the world, after the United States and Germany. Foreign investments have been pouring into China, and the country is now known as "a factory of the world," thanks to the conglomeration of the great number of foreign-owned factories. In Japan, store shelves are now full of MADE IN CHINA products, from clothes and foodstuffs to electrical appliances and computer equipment.

As a result of China's "reform and open up" policies, the living standard of the average Chinese has been improving each year. In 2003, the average per capita income in China was around 9000 yuan, 24 times the 1978 figure. In urban areas, the average household is full of electrical appliances, from refrigerators, washing machines, televisions and videos to personal computers and air conditioners. It is nothing rare these days for the Chinese to own their cars and travel abroad.

I quote the article that China used in the guide book. Among the 80 countries, China is the only country which got so many figures in the passage. Wait, man, it's the World EXPO instead of a China investment exhibition. Why show people so many statistics to tell others about the growth of economy in your country? I don't think people who visit the EXPO care about that. Who care your "Reform and Open up" policy? Is it related with the nature? Well... yes, but just destroying it instead of keeping it. What good to telling people such a shame in an EXPO concerning Nature's Wisdom?
Also see how they talked about their relationship with Japan..."In Japan, store shelves are now full of MADE IN CHINA products, from clothes and foodstuffs to electrical appliances and computer equipment," so what means by that is China is using its own resources for the goods of Japanese. They chopped their own trees to make toothpick for them, make paper for them. What good to mention such thing in the passage?

The heritage that China mentioned in the article was the Great Wall (again...) and the mausoleum of Emperor Qin Shi Huang. These two thing are not fresh for most foreigners again I think, China used them for more than 30 years. And how can they linked to Nature's Wisdom? Sorry, no connection. It's just show how the Chinese waste their resources in the past.

Again if I were the one who write the article, what would I write? I may write the use of herbal medicine in China. As many people knows that the use of chemical to treat illness is near its end. Even the westerner are now looking for alternatives, they go back to square one and learn from their ancestors about the use of herb. The ancestors of Chinese did a lot of work in researching the use of herb and they are still using it. Why didn't they write about that in the article? Use of herbal medicine is related with Nature's Wisdom, it's also an art of life. Why? Because when using the herbal medicine, it's important to find a balance between the Yin and Yang. Balancing that is an art of life according to the China own born religion, Taoism.

Actually you can dig out a lot of things from the Guidebook, and also you can learn a lot of things about different countries and cultures. Such Expo can link people everywhere together, and alert people living on Earth that they are a "Global Citizen", when they are doing something, they need to care about people living far far away.

The 2005 World Exposition is held in Aichi, Japan. The title of the Expo this year is "Nature's Wisdom" with sub-title, "Nature's Matrix", "Art of Life" and "Development for Eco-Communities". More than 80 countries participate in the Expo, setting up pavilion in Aichi. In the OFFICIAL GUIDEBOOK, every country which participated in the Global Common Zone got a page or two in it, to introduce their country.
As the main theme of the Expo is nature-related, most participating countries wrote about their heritage or their natural resources, something related with the nature in the sub-heading as the headline. There are many interesting headlines, let me pick up some of them and show them here:
US: Franklin to teach allure of nature on 300th birthday (The year 2005 is Franklin's 300th birthday, so its nice to use him as the theme.)

India: Country of rich history & diversity, becoming hub for information technology (The past and now are introduced by this short phrase, nice!)

Saudi Arabia: Birthplace of Islam, kingdom of desert, country of tradition, dharma & oil power (This concludes all the characteristics of Saudi Arabia, the history, the place and the natural resources.)

Qatar: Boasting world's 3rd largest natural gas field, LNG supplier to Japan, advocating "balanced development" with clean energy (This introduce the country's relationship with Japan and let people know about the natural resources they have, the Natural Gas. Also emphasized what they advocate, which somehow is the equivalent of the Expo main theme.)

Pakistan: Ancient ruins, heavenly peaks, diverse cultures, historical crossroads (I can know that it is a historical country with nice peaks, where cultures meet by reading the phrase)

Bangladesh: Fertile delta is treasure house of living things; country of rivers, full of water & greenery (Honestly, I know NOTHING about Bangladesh before I read this phrase. But I know that Bangladesh is somewhere near the sea which has a fertile delta like Egypt, the delta gives the living things what they need, again I imagine Egypt. It got lots of river, and its green. Seems to me that it's a nice country.)

UK: Introducing visitors to woodland, modern art & innovations, inspired by nature, from the home of gardening (Quickly, I know that UK's pavilion is a garden, and I am able to see woodland, modern art and some new high-tech toys maybe.)

I think I talked too much about the sub-title. Why? Because I would like to show you a bad bad example...

China: "Factory of the world" growing fast, EXPO 2010 slated in Shanghai

What good to emphasize "Factory of the world"? Is it something related with the main theme of the Expo? Well, I don't think so. Instead it's the opposite of the main theme.

There comes the name "Factory of the world" as foreign companies give factories in China orders to manufacture foods for them, using China's own natural resources and labors which are less-paid than those getting a McJob. The foreign countries can do so as they already passed the age which needs industry to boost their economy growth. They can now earn money on areas like IT, financial services, etc.

When people are wealthy, they care more about their health. Factory is a source of pollution which will directly damage one's health, so they move the factories away from the homeland to those developing countries like China. Developing countries enjoy letting the factories moving into their territory as the government can earn money through the factory and can keep on developing the countries or... do something else. Being the "Factory of the World" is not something really good.The problem of pollution is something that still need to solve in China.

Factory also need power to support their work. The main energy sources today is still fossil fuels, which are Oil, Coal and LPG. The theory to generate electricity from fossil fuels is first, to boil water by burning the fuel, then the steam make the turbine moves and by the movement of the turbine, electricity is generated. The process still involved burning the fuel. Even the power plant can invest a lot to improve their equipments, to do treatment before emitting the waste generated in the air, the pollution problem cannot be solved but only minimized. The problem caused by pollution can be seen easily today. If the factory are packed into one place, China, phew, it's really is a disaster.

OK, leave the first part of the sentence and jump to the second part...

Well, it's simply an ads...2010 Shanghai Expo...nothing special...

hmm...interesting...maybe I may quote a Taoism phrase emphasising the balance between human and the natural world...
